Vintage Schott NYC Leather Bomber Jacket A-2, G-1 Brown Mens L (44) - 1970's

We sell quite a few older Schott jackets and to be honest, this one is so old I've had a bit of trouble identifying exactly which model this is! From the inner labels we can work out that it's from the late 60's to early 70's. As far as I can tell it's a very early iteration of either the A-2 or the G-1. Both were very similar models and this has features of them both! It has the waist slash pockets but also the larger zip pocket above. When researching it I found a few similar for sale but all they said is 'Schott leather jacket' so they had the same problem in identifying it that I've had!

The jacket in the photos is the one that you'll recieve. As you can see it's still in good, usable condition which is surprising considering its at least half a century old. Schott jackets are pretty much indestructible  so, whilst this has obviously been well worn there's no loose stitching, no holes and all buttons and zips work exactly as they should. Obviously, over the decades the leather has developed a stunning, distressed patina which looks incredible.

Pricing

Pricing this has been difficult. You can get a decent condition modern one for as little as £100. These older ones are a lot more difficult to find and therefore a lot more expensive. The same model as this is available for between £280 - £500! Personally, I think that's way too expensive so have tried to keep the price fair and reasonable (you'd have to be mad to spend £500 on one of these...nice jacket but not that nice!)

This jacket was designed with a pilot sitting in a low position in mind. As such it's quite short. I've put all the measurements below. We're a registered business seller so accept all returns without question but please take a couple of minutes to compare the measurements with one of your own jackets before you make a decision. Returns are a hassle for both of us so it's a lot easier to get it right first time!
